Quick Air Onboard Air

Today 3/26/00 I just finished installing an Onboard air system and tank. The Tank is 2 1/2 gallon in size and power air tools nicely. There is air available in the front and a port in the back. Makes it great for airing up or road side assistance.

This is a picture of the "Air Compressor" mounted under the hood. It draws less than 12 amps and actually is quite quiet. Fits nicely between the hood hinges and the battery isolator and is up high for water crossings.

This is a picture of the tank. It measures 6" wide x 24" long and is bolted to the frame rail on the passenger side. It is also equipped with a pressure switch that will turn the compressor off when it reaches 115 psi automatically and then cycle it back on when needed.
